Camping Reservations for Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend is such a busy camping weekend that it’s crucial to make reservations at the campground of your choice ahead of time. Waiting until the last minute is likely to leave you scrambling to find a campground for the weekend. In some popular areas, this will be nearly impossible.  It’s best to reserve a Labor Day weekend campsite at least a couple of months before the holiday.

Check Weather Forecasts for Labor Day Weekend

Check with your local television station for up-to-date forecasts for the camping trip before packing. The website weather.gov is also a good source for weather forecasts for any region of the country. Pack clothing and camping gear depending on the weather forecast. If it’s predicted to be cold, pack warm clothing, long-sleeves and pants. If the weather is going to be hot, opt for shorts and tank tops. But, keep in mind that you’ll need to pack at least one warm outfit for each person, because the nights can be cool during Labor Day weekend.

For a truly fun camping experience on Labor Day weekend, it’s necessary to plan ahead by making a reservation and referring to the weather forecast when packing.
